We carry these phonics rescue programs to open the door to the exciting world of reading for all children!
For the best results, we recommend daily phonics throughout the homeschool year, as well as a minimum of three days of phonics instruction throughout breaks. The consistency of continuing phonics instruction helps struggling students make progress without backsliding. So when breaks come, enjoy them fully in every other way! Phonics Help for Struggling 7 – 13 Year-Olds
Blast Off to Reading! works well for children ages 7-13, who are reading below grade level. This is for children who have dyslexia, speech delays, auditory processing disorder (APD), and other learning difficulties. In just 50 lessons, this multisensory, Orton-Gillingham-based program will systematically teach your child to read starting from the most basic units of sounds to multi-syllable, complex words.
Each lesson includes a new sound or rule, followed by several exercises, which review concepts taught in the lesson as well as those taught previously. This provides the perfect blend of reading and writing with review. Consequently, children will know their sounds and see how they are put together to form words.
The Blast Off to Reading program includes highly structured plans that gradually build in difficulty. It offers a more mature approach for students who are older. Lessons require little to no prep or planning. This colorful book includes large text and a simple layout, making it visually appealing to struggling readers.
This program also includes an answer key, spelling help, phonics reference charts, and optional supplemental online teaching tools and activities. Parents, tutors, and teachers alike will find Blast Off to Reading easy-to-use and highly successful.
