Adam of the Road
Adam of the Road shares the adventures of eleven-year-old Adam. Adam loved to travel through the open roads of thirteenth-century England. His companions included his father, a wandering minstrel, and Nick, his red spaniel.
But when Adam’s father and his dog suddenly disappear, Adam finds himself alone. He searches these same roads he used to travel for pleasure.
Rich merchants and pilgrims with cockleshells upon their hats line the roads. Farming folk driving pigs to the fair, minstrels and priests, saints and thieves greet him. And somewhere in the crowd… his father and his dog.
Join this young boy as he travels the open roads and searches for all he holds dear. His missing father, a minstrel, and his stolen red spaniel, Nick.
