Drawn into the Heart of Reading is a flexible program that works with any books you choose. Choose the books yourself, use our Sample Book Ideas List, or get one of the book packs we’ve put together.

Our hand-crafted book packs provide a selection of quality literature that fits seamlessly into the plans. Each book pack covers all nine literary genres and works with any Student Book level. Keep your student’s age and reading level in mind to choose a book package that is right for your student.

Note: Heart of Dakota recently combined/replaced the Level 2 and Level 3 Book Packs with new books to create the Level 3/4 Boy and Girl Packs. For those who already own the old Level 2 and Level 3 Book Packs, there are separate “add-on” package options provided.

Note: A few of the books in these packages are also used in our main curriculum (or show up in other packages). To avoid duplicate copies, you can select “View Details” on any package to learn about our substitution policy.
