How does the Preparing Heart’s Bible Study work in Heart of Dakota?

Using heartfelt questions that encourage reflections on God’s Word, parents read and discuss Pilgrim’s Progress and The Long Road Home with their children. As Christian heads toward the heavenly kingdom and Wander finds his way back home, children learn Biblical lessons they can apply in their own lives.

Along the way, children memorize key verses that match those highlighted in Pilgrim’s Progress and The Long Road Home. They use the Quest Scripture Cards to picture the verse in their mind by referring to it each day. Then, they flip the card over to copy the verse and commit it to memory.

As children journey with Christian and Wander, our Quest and Character Charts help them track the places they’ve been and the progress they’ve made. On their travels, they place a sticker on the path for each verse they memorize using our Quest Scripture Cards.
