We do it all in one sitting. Unless we get interrupted or something comes up - discipline issue - which I hardly ever have while we're doing LHTH. I like to get it done first thing after breakfast, while I still have the motivation! The activities are so short it would be hard for me to break it up ...

We did the same thing, looked up pictures of those animals on the Internet because I knew my kids didn't know what they were. I agree, it was a lot of fun!

What exactly does he not like? Does it seem "childish" to him? He doesn't like the fingerplay/rhymes? Some of those have gone over better with my kids than others. Kristen, I totally relate to your dilemma as mine is similar. DD 5, about to start K in the fall. I have been doing LHTH with the 5YO and my 3YO together this year and we have all really loved it! But I don't feel repeating it is right, even if I add in reading, writing, and math. It is encouraging ...
