Bigger Hearts for His Glory – Our Gateway to Independent Learning!

Did you know that “Bigger Hearts for His Glory” (written for ages 7-9 with extensions for 10-11) is considered our most teacher intensive guide? This guide is designed to prepare your child for the independence that is coming in the future guides. Your teaching time will start to lessen with each subsequent guide so that you can spend your time with your younger children teaching them the habits that will lead to their independent learning.

Familiarity Breeds Independent Learning!

Familiarity Breeds Independent Learning!

Did you know that our guides all have a similar format? The left side of the daily plans called “Learning Through History” has a unit study feel to it with many connections between the boxes. The right side of the plans called “Learning the Basics” has all of the subjects that do not fit neatly with the history. Many times the saying “Familiarity breeds contempt” is appropriate, but in our guides, we think that familiarity breeds independent learning!

Our Grand Beginning

Our Grand Beginning

Did you know that the first guide that Carrie wrote was “Drawn into the Heart of Reading”? We sold one of them (barely) at our first convention which was in Minot, ND in 2002. The price of the Teacher’s Guide was $65.00, it was spiral-bound, and it had colored page dividers between each genre.

Oh yes, and the temperature with wind-chill the day of the convention, March 1st, was about -55 and our van would not start when the convention was over. It was a grand beginning.
