first day back!

Post by holyhart » Mon Aug 25, 2008 3:22 pm

:D We started LHFHG again today after our 2.5 weeks off from having the baby! Evelyn was SOOOOO excited! She talked about it all weekend! :D :D :D :D

We did day one of unit 6. It was great to be back into the swing of things again. I'll admit that I was a little nervous that she would have forgotten much of what we'd done previously, but she was right on track (although we did do review of the phonics lessons while on break). She was very sad (in tears) today though because we just finished the last of Reddy Fox. She now wants to use that as her bedtime story book while we start the next book for school storytime.

Lillian slept through the whole school time. :D

We love HOD! :D

Yay! I'm glad it went so well for you! It always feels nice for life to "get back to normal" after a baby joins the family. Congratulations and hope you have a great year! :D

I'm so glad you were able to get back in the swing of things! I'm so proud of you!! :D

That is a precious story about Evelyn crying over finishing Reddy Fox. I have to admit my boys were sad too, but then they got right into the next Burgess book and were thrilled again.

Thanks for sharing!

Blessings,
Carrie
