We've had a very crazy year of school.

My dd finished unit 17 in LHFHG. She had a lot of questions, most of which she answered herself. Her favorite activity was the craft for the Day of Pentecost. You were suppose to tear paper to use, but ours 'disappeared' so, since she asked to use fingerpaint that's what we did. She liked the rhyme as well, because she already knew it.
The biggest news for her was after struggling with The Reading Lesson (actually most reading in general) all year her reading finally exploded! She did 2 & 1/2 lessons this week. :D  We were all so excited! Her dad paid her a $1 for the first story and I know that was part of the motivation.

My ds(8) in Bigger. I don't remember what unit. Somewhere around 20 I think. He is an excellent reader, a no frills guy, & hates to wait so he does most of his school work independently. We do enjoy math & history together. I do need to keep up with him a little better - last week he came up with a science activity/experiment that was several units forward in Pioneer Sampler. He just started that book last Monday.
He is loving the dictionary and took to it very well. He is my reader & if I don't watch will read extra & not narrate/notebook etc, plus read a book or two for fun - everyday!

Hope everyone has a great school week coming up.
