K, but already reading

Post by fishchick72 » Mon Feb 17, 2014 1:49 pm

I am planning to use LHFHG for K, this August, but my son is already a beginning reader. He did Your Baby Can Read as a baby & at age 3 we did Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons & then moved on to Bob Books. What should I do in LHFHG when it says to do phonics?

Once your child is reading and they have finished a formal phonics program, the next step is the Emerging Readers Set. You will need the Beyond Little Hearts For His Glory Guide for the reading schedule and comprehension questions to go along with the emerging readers. A list of the books that you will need can be found on the Beyond ordering page. This would take the place of the phonics portion in LHFHG. HTH!
