History Stories for Children question

Post by Melanie » Sun Nov 04, 2007 4:52 pm

We are getting ready to read Alexander the Great on Monday, and , well, sadly this is the first time I've actually sat down and looked at the book. I noticed that there were stories about Joseph, David and Ruth that we didn't read when we covered those characters. Has anyone added those in? Also, just wondering, do we read all the stories in this book?

Melanie,

Since the stories of David, Joseph, and Ruth were already scheduled to be read from the Bible as you go through the Old-Testament part of history in "Little Hearts..", we didn't double up and read the same story in "History Stories for Children". We do, however, use all of the other stories from "History Stories for Children" as they come up chronologically (unless they are covered in the Bible read-alouds already).

Hope that helps. Happy reading!

Blessings,
Carrie
