CTC questions for Carrie
CTC questions for Carrie
Hi--I'm looking hard at CTC for my 5th grade twins who are finishing Preparing now. I really like the independence, which will free me up to do school with my first grader. It's hard to see from the first week what the year will look like for them, though. Can you tell me what other kinds of activities are included, besides the books listed? Are there games or recipes or other hands-on stuff for them, or is it mostly book work and read-alouds? Are there activities they can do together occasionally? Thank you in advance!

Mom25,
I'll post some links here that will give you a great feel for the guide.
First off, scroll down at this link to read what's contained on each side of the guide. There's a wonderful itemized list at the bottom:

Next, take a good look at the Sample Page and at the descriptive lettered boxes that explain how often each type of activity comes up in the guide each week: http://www.heartofdakota.com/pdf/creati ... glance.pdf
Last, here's the entire first week of plans for you to print out and staple together and mull over, so you can get a great feel for how the day will run. Make sure to scroll past the Table of Contents to see the week:

These are honestly the best snapshot of the guide I can give you! If you enjoyed Preparing Hearts, then you have much blessing in store for your and your kiddos with CTC!
Blessings,
Carrie
