These look wonderful! I used Math with Confidence Kindergarten and 1st Grade with my son before we started HOD and switched to Singapore. They were great programs. I thought I'd switch to Singapore for my youngest when he starts Little Hearts in the fall, but now that HOD will be using MWC, I might have him do that instead.

The Visual History Set for Beyond looks fun too! I wish we had that for our year of Beyond this year! But I do own a few of the titles already - the On Your Own History series is wonderful and I own many of those that we will read with Beyond this year. I'm excited to use this whole set with my next son when he gets to Beyond!

Blessings,
Jaime

Happy Friday, everyone! :D Today we have even more new products to announce!

We are pleased to announce all new nature study plans in Missions to Modern Marvels. Paint Nature’s Palette combines poetry and painting for a one-of-a-kind approach to nature study! Designed to accompany the new “Nature Painting” plans in Missions to Modern Marvels, this beautiful notebook provides scenic poetry from classic poets, vivid photographs of woodland wildlife and botanicals, and a place to showcase completed watercolor paintings.

Each lesson in Paint Nature’s Palette introduces a new poem about the great outdoors. Writing & Rhetoric in Creation to Christ

Creation to Christ now has a new writing program! Writing and Rhetoric offers a creative, step-by-step approach to writing that assumes students learn best by reading excellent literature and by growing their writing skills through imitation! Each Writing and Rhetoric book includes a Student Text and a Teacher Guide.

Lessons start with Book 1: Fable, which teaches the practice of close reading and comprehension, summarizing a story aloud and in writing, using description and dialogue, and incorporating point of view. Next, students move up to Book 2: Narrative’s lessons, which focus on the beginning/middle/end, written/oral narration, lengthier writing assignments, the main idea, conflict, dialogue and description, given topics, and more! Student Texts begin with narration of the story. Then, the "Talk About It" section provides students with questions that require personal application and critical thinking. The "Go Deeper" questions include multiple-choice questions that cover writing concepts and vocabulary. Finally, "Writing Time" exercises integrate copywork, dictation, "sentence play," and rewriting exercises. Teacher guides include the complete student text, answer keys, teacher's notes, and explanations, as well as descriptions and examples of what excellent student writing should look like.

I'm so excited for the new things! Will there be a new guide for LHFHG? Or will there be a schedule for the new Storytime books? We are currently in Week 4 of our last time through LHFHG so I'd love to include these before we get too much further in. How will the Burgess books be used in the LA box if they won't be used for Storytime anymore? I'm so glad you are not getting rid of them though! That was one of the things that first drew me to HOD was that you used those wonderful, timeless books!

Blessings,

Hello Jaime!

Sorry to note have responded sooner; as you can imagine, it's been pretty busy over here! Yes, there will be a new guide for LHFHG, with the plans written-in for the new Storytime set, The Magnificent Names of Jesus, and other new products we're just announcing now. Carrie is working as fast as she can with the update to LHFHG, having just finished work on getting RTR and Rev2Rev ready in time for our Spring Sale. (Regarding lag times, here's the info I've got right now: RTR is back from the printers and is in stock now. Rev2Rev is estimated to arrive from the printers in May. The new LHFHG guide is estimated to arrive from the printers in July. However those last two guides will be available to preorder during the sale so that folks can still get them at the sale price.)

Regarding exactly how the Burgess books will be used in the LA box, I don't know myself. Carrie is currently writing the plans for the updated Little Hearts guide, so once the first week of plans are posted to the website I think you and I will have a better idea of how that looks.

I'm glad we're not getting rid of them too! They truly are timeless and still form a core part of LHFHG. :D

Hope this helps answer some of those questions!

Best regards,
Cole Austin
