CTC Supplies

Post by kidsforHim » Sat Feb 09, 2019 11:38 am

The links for painting supplies under Getting ready for CtC are no longer working, including the new links posted at the end. I went to Miller pads and paper website and it looks like some of the brushes are no longer sold there? I would like to get the exact painting supplies if anyone could help me here. Thanks

I just want to Hobby Lobby with the list in the introduction to the guide (you can print it from the PDF on the website). I was able to get everything I needed easily there. The only exception is that I chose to get a different palette that had a secure closure (so we didn't waste paint). But the ones at HL would work just fine as well.

Could you recommend certain brands of paint or brushes that you found worked well? I had purchased some watercolor paints( can't remember where) & we did not have good success using them & it was discouraging. Same thing with the brushes. I don't want to pay an arm & a leg but at the same time I would like good quality.

We went with the middle of the road brushes and paints at HL. They weren't the cheapest sets, but they were the basic sets. The brand for both is Fine Touch, which is probably a house brand.
