Learning to read

On the learn to read in 20 lessons, do you go on when they have memorized the words from the lessson, my child does well with the words but when they are put into sentences she seems to get confused.

Hello! Are you using The Reading Lesson? We used this with our fourth little guy.

If so, instead of memorizing the words in the lesson, the focus is on decoding or sounding out the words in each lesson. There are some sight words that aren't easily decoded that can be memorized but the rest are intended to be sounded out. Focusing on decoding instead of memorizing will help as you go through the lessons. :D
