How are skills taught for learning to study for/take a test?

Hi! I will have a 7th grader doing Rev to Rev and a 5th grader doing CTC next school year. I was wondering, in the guides from Rev to Rev on up through high school, will there be any tests taken in any of the subjects? I am just curious about how the skills of studying for/taking tests is handled in HOD. I have tried searching for this topic and have not found anything. I apologize if I have just missed it somehow.

Thanks so much!

Blessings! :D

*Edited to add: I am not talking about standardized tests, just the normal kind that kiddos take when they are finished with a chapter, semester, etc.

I honestly can't remember if there were tests in Rev to Rev or MTMM. We do a different math that has tests, I don't know if the HOD math does or not. In the high school guides there are tests scheduled in several subjects. Sometimes those tests are scheduled as open book and sometimes the guide gives the parent the choice whether to make them open book or not. My daughter is in college and so many of her tests are open book timed tests that I don't mind them being open book, because it is a skill he needs. Some subjects have tests that aren't scheduled so if you really wanted to have your dc take them you could do it on the 5th day maybe.

We've done all the guides through Rev to Rev. In Rev to Rev, the science has quizzes built into it. I believe there are also unit tests. They aren't long, but they test the knowledge gained from the unit. My daughter doesn't study for them, but you do use the quizzes and tests toward the final grade for the course.
