Melanie,

Just jumping "off the wagon" for a minute, to say that I am thinking about you. Okay, "back on the wagon."
(Looking forward to your update)

Melanie,

I'm praying for you here too (and will again as we fly to Winston-Salem tomorrow). I know the Lord will be with you and have His hand upon you.

Blessings,
Carrie

Melanie,

It's early and I cannot stop thinking of you my friend. I am praying and will continue to pray. Just think your almost done. Just a few more days. I just wanted you to know that even though I'm leaving town you will be in my heart and prayers. My husband is taking my computer in and so if you don't hear from me it means they kept it longer than we were hoping. (((Warm Hugs)))

You ladies are just so sweet! I love all my Hodie friends!

I was so nervous yesterday, I almost threw up.....I hate feeling that way. It went just fine. I had to ride in the back seat, far right corner away from dh, and we have to sleep in different rooms, but so far so good......just not fun. He also has to do the cooking for these few days.... That should be good for the diet! The only side effect should be a sore throat, and right now I feel pretty good.

I can not thank you all enough for your prayers! You all mean so much to me and it really helped me to think of all of the prayers going up while I was going through my day yesterday.

I'm praying for you, Melanie! You know about my thyroid problems as well, and I promise you that you are going to feel like a brand new woman when this is all said and done. May God be your strong tower and uphold you as you have your surgery!

AND, I think you definitely need to rent some uplifting funny movies, enjoy your favorite candy, eat some Orville Redenbacher's Movie Theater Popcorn (not the pour-over kind though), and of course - drink a Diet Dr. Pepper! After a few days of vegging out - then MAYBE do a small project or two, but I know how tired a thyroid that's not working can make you feel, so you need to (and deserve to) take it easy while you can.

I'm uplifting you in prayer, Melanie, and God is more than able to take good care of you - and I know He will!

Love in Christ,
Julie

Mel,

I'm so glad to hear that you're back home.

I know your situation isn't funny...but   :D ...you have to know that I'm picturing you at your computer in one of those astronaut suits checking out the HOD board. Yesterday you mentioned wearing gloves to check-in and my imagination just went a little wild. I'm sure it's not that extreme...

I'm still thinking of you and praying for you often.
Wishing you a complete and speedy recovery!

I needed that good belly laugh!!! We have the same sense of humor! My hands are getting very sweaty wearing thoses gloves and my dh is being very sure I don't touch anything he touches. I made some iced tea...wearing gloves even.....and he will not drink any of it! You know what I did that I never do?? When I took my shower this morning, I put my pj's back on! Since I have to do my laundry separate from everyone else, I thought I'd save some time!

I still feel just fine! :D
