Paints we love from Crayola

Post by my3sons » Tue Oct 18, 2011 6:22 pm

We have really enjoyed these little bottles of paint by Crayola. They are quite inexpensive, available at Walmart/Target/etc., vibrant colors, a bit thicker so they don't run as easily, a nice size to store, and little bottles that don't tip. We use them for art projects that involve painting in HOD, and they've worked great. :D

Just thought I'd share our find with you in case you're about due for some new paints! :D

We've been using these too and love them! I didn't know where I got them though as I've had them a while. Some of my bottles are starting to get low and I need to find more. I'll have to look at Target. I don't think my Walmart had the large box of them only a smaller box with fewer colors. I like the variety of colors in the larger box. They are great paints and actually do wash out of things fairly well too. That's always a big plus around here! :D

Thank you very much.
My daughter loves art/drawing.
She drew this macaw yesterday, she has an interest in them all of a sudden. We don't own a macaw but they sure are beautiful creatures!

We love them, too (but the jars could be bigger). They wash off the hardwood floors easily.

I use them too. I love crayola products. Has anyone tried the dry erase crayons they released this year?

Thank you so much. My little kids are getting and easel for Christmas and this is so great to know. Paint is one thing I worry about with getting the easel.

We also have these paints! We've been using them over the last year and they've always worked great. One minor problem is that black wasn't part of the box we bought. I've looked for them again at Walmart and haven't found them, I guess I should try Target.

We're almost out of paint and I was thinking of just getting bigger bottles of tempera paint from a craft store, just so we'd have a larger amount when we need it. Can anyone share any differences between the two? We have five kids and run three guides, so paint is always a necessity in this family!

(And what a beautiful Macaw! :D )

We, too, use those paints and are happy with them.

Christina - We use the dry erase crayons here on sheet protectors all the time and they work WONDERFULLY! I don't trust my 3 year old with dry erase markers unless I'm sitting RIGHT next him. Having these around means he can do wipe-able activities while I work with big brother or get some housework done and not have to worry about finding my couch "decorated" when I'm done.

And in case anyone is curious, we've also used Crayola's fabric crayons with wonderful success!

We are big Crayola fans here! 8)
