This week in LHTH we learned about Jonah. I didn't pay attention to the Unit. We mainly did it nights and weekends.
My dd certainly enjoyed having school again, and she had plenty to tell me all about how "bad" Jonah was!

In LHFHG we completed Unit 30. Abraham Lincoln is one of his favorite characters, so he loved school this week! We also learned about Robert E. Lee & Grant.
He only did school 3 days this week since we had prior plans. I am glad I decided to get him the R&S workbooks that are listed - he really enjoys those! :D

In Preparing my ds finished Unit 6, that we had started last week. He especially likes the storytime book Tirzah. We learned about Jacob, Esau, Joseph, & Moses. He is very knowledgeable about these subjects, so that helped in his work this week. Narration was the best he had ever done. :D
He had to do school an extra day since I was so sick I couldn't help him - he did the independent & semi-independent work that very well that day.

Have a great weekend!

This will be my first post in here, but wanted to share how appropriate LHFHG has been for my 6 year old daughter. She has sensory processing issues and is VERY active...but this week we have worked through last half of unit 8 and first half of unit 9. When she tried the marker/oil on saran wrap on skin, she needed to do it on me too. Math activities of measuring toys and everyday objects with blocks kept her happy, active and learning. I think her favorite this week was pretending to be the ravens and picking up bread with a nutcracker....(it happened to be what we had on hand), and bringing it to the bowl (Elijah). Her words were, "This is so much fun, Mom! Can we do more?" :D Besides it being "fun" I am finding the small hands on activities are helping learning stick. So thankful for HOD!
