YAY! Well, that is GREAT news! I just really don't want to do American again....and I am so anxious for Preparing. I could easily do BIGGER, but again, not sure I want to do Amer. We just finished SL 1 and MOH up to the Greeks, so I want to at least kind of stay on that path. I dont want to stop and...

Hi Stranger! I read your post before I saw your name, and thought, "This person sounds just like me! I need to talk to her!" Maybe we should talk on the phone and help each other! I have used MOH, MFW and am considering HOD too...I know I cant do all 3! I don't even know if I could do 2. But, I thin...

Hi Jen, we just got home from Wmsbg, visiting! Anyway, yes, I have been through quite a few different curricula, and communities, and I just like it here. I keep coming back just to visit the boards. I do feel like it is a small family. I think we yearn for that as homeschooling moms. Now if only ou...

two programs maybe

Hi! I am new here and haven't gotten my books yet, so I am not much help. But, I think I would tend to try to use 2 programs. Three seems overwhelming, in my opinion! I think with 2, you could pick and choose things to suit all of their needs. I am sure other moms with experience will chime in here....

I love this group!

This is such a nice, warm family here...not too big, just right. I am glad to be here, thank you all, and thank you Carrie for making us all feel welcome and cared about. You are wonderful! I can't wait for my BIGGER to arrive with my new books!!!

books!

I got a notebook, wrote out every book needed for every option of Bigger and DITHR and then checked off what I had. I had enough from those packages to cover each genre, some girl interest, some boy, some classic. So I decided not to buy more, but I plan to use the library and get as many as I can, ...

I just wanted to say also, that I have found I *DO* have a lot of these books, and I am just going to purchase what I need when I get it all figured out! I made a long list yesterday of all the options, marked what I had, and today I will check the library. THNKYOU! Also, I appreciate the advice abo...

HOD and HOW

Thank you all for your very helpful replies! I will write more later, but I wondered if anyone here has used HOD as a part of the HOW (heart of wisdom) ideas. It seems to me like HOW is not a curriculum, but that HOD actually implements the HOW thinking....I am just now looking at both.

thanks again!

Thanks, again! I can't bear to switch math programs, we have tried a bunch and Saxon is working great for us. Also, I use LLATL for language arts (and it has cursive included). I may change, but I also might not! If I listed out all the curriculum I have bought and tried, it would make heads spin! I...

thanks!

Thanks, netpea! I agree, the guides are priced nicely! I just see all those yummy books, and I want them all! My son is an avid reader, he just read the Narnia series, all 6 books, in a week. While I wanted to use PREPARING, I am far too impatient to wait. I am ready to start now! Plus, it looks lik...

New here, any used books?

I am new here, a friend just steered me here to check this out. I have bought and used MFW, SL, TOG, MOH, TQ....the list goes on. I am drawn to this because of the deep connections between history, Bible, character and science. I have never seen a unit study that really functions with character and ...
