We started school today. It is tooo hot in FL to not. My oldest started RTR, second CTC, third Beyond Unit 21 and fourth LHTH Unit 24! Wow, what a day. I was done teaching by 1:30, started at 7:30 with a half hour for lunch. I LOVED the day and all my kiddos did great. Thanks Carrie for a great prog...

I used to combine by oldest two, until I realized I was tugging my second along and not challenging my oldest. If I am reading your post correct that is how you felt this past year with your kiddos. Me, Me...each kid is different. The perspective they hold and how the conversation turns and what the projects look like. Plus I learn and remember more the second time around. We have bee doing this since Bigger/Preparing, then Preparing/CTC. This year it will be CTC/RTR. I can't wait to start! :D

I agree with pp, Bigger would be a great year. The best way to choose is the placement chart. When kids are placed correctly they learn alot. Carrie intends for kids to do parts of Preparing alone, the goal is indpendence learners. Bigger will give them the skills to do those parts indpendently. Big...

Scheduling for next year
I am working on my schedule next year, when my youngest will start LHFHG. Would it be ok to combine her with ds in Beyond for storytime. She would miss the Thorton Burgess books. I have loved them with all of my boys. Thanks for your input.
