Re: Emerging reader question

That is a good question. I am having the same issues just about with my two kids. I am very interested to see some advice here about this.

Which program to use LHTH or LHFHG?

Alright I have a 5 yr. old who is delayed in learning and I was planning on doing LHGHG next fall (he will be six then) at half speed with him, but now since we have welcomed our newest edition, Hartley to our family a month ago. He has actually gone backwards! He is being tested for Autism this spr...

Need to catch up!

How do you catch up once you have fallen behind? I just had our sixth child and it was very scary the whole thing. Emergancy c-section and NICU stay, plus I was in very serious condition myself. So now that we are both home and I am feeling better. Praise the Lord! The power of prayer is amazing!!! ...

Re: Need prayers!!!!!!!!

Well we were able to come home yesterday! Praise the Lord! Hartley is doing well and I am feeling better myself. Being home always helps with that. So here is the story: I ended up going to the ER on Saturday the 28th. I couldn't breath well and had a fever. After a few hours of them watching me and...

Re: Doing LHFHG for two years when to switch to 1st grade stuff?

Great idea's thanks. I am just trying to plan things out some before next year hits. I had never thought to do one side one day and the other the next for a year and then go to full speed the next if they are ready! Makes sense to me if they need a slow start but start picking it up later easier. Pr...

Re: Singapore with special needs?

Well with each child it is different, but I also have special needs child and he does great in math, but his reading is very slow in coming. I have tried some different styles with reading for him and it just seems that being presisant and move slowly at times if needed works best for him. If you li...

Wow that is exciting! Now you just have to wait until the big day. We are expecting in about three weeks. We do not know what we are having though. But we have picked out Helena as a girl name. Hope all goes well.

Re: Combine/Separate Verdict is in!

That sounds like a great plan. I ended up putting my two kids together also for Beyond. You can always slow down or speed up for one or another. Add or take away if needed. HOD is so nice it works in just so many ways! Good luck!

Re: HOD and high maintence child

My son is 9 and he can be quite hard to teach at times. He has ADHD and a learning disability so reading and writing are hard for him. But I find that with HOD we are done so quickly and just keep moving from one thing to the next it isn't to bad. Yeah we have our days when he just doesn't want to d...

Hi ladies, I am just wondering what you have done before when you have had a baby during the school year. I am due in about 5 weeks and am doing BLHFHG with two children and kind of doing a preschool thing with two other children and just have one that is just tagging along right now. Anyways I am j...
