Re: new and saying hello

It is so fun having that kind of stuff going through your head! Welcome to the boards, Bea! We went through LHTH last year with my now 3 and 5 year old, and will look forward to doing it again with my 3 year old in the fall!

Re: Week of February 27 - March 2, 2012

No blog update yet, as we had a busy week and tonight I went to a cooking class (MMM), but we are ALMOST done with Unit 13 (Jesus' Miracles). The kids are doing great and learning lots. We're having a little bit of attitude problem, as Shana will say she doesn't want to "do school." Right now I tell...

Re: Need advice on ages for Little Hearts For His Glory

For what it's worth, I agree with farmfamily. It's easier to beef up a guide than to try to make it work for someone who's not quite ready for it. HTH, a little!

Re: Toddler Activities?

I actually have a picture of the two "working" side by side from today. I organized a bunch of toys and because right now I'm limited on totes, I'm going to take a few minutes to rotate toys, books, and puzzles so that DS can have a variety of toys. Also, if I play with him first, before we start DD...

Re: Anyone started a guide in the middle?

I don't mean to be a party pooper, but I don't think you'd want to start in the middle, since skills progress throughout the guide. Your DC might miss something if you start in the middle.

Re: Week in Review Feb. 20-24

Praying for your family, Homeschooling6. I just love reading everyone's updates! We finished an entire unit in that much time! We began Jesus's ministry in Unit 12. I plan to do a blog tomorrow. We have pictures and everything. I just need to make sure I figure out how not to make John, my toddler, ...

Toddler Activities?

I have a 2.5 year old who currently has a love/hate relationship with school. I'm sure it is because it's frustrating for him to know just where he stands when I do school time with Shana. We have old workbooks he can pull out and do when she is doing the RH of LHFHG, but we just haven't been able t...

Re: ? about LHTH

Jean, we use this for our chapel group. We also have about 5-8 children under 5. It works well, as we only average 2-4 on a particular week. We had to decide how fast to go. If you do a unit over two weeks, you have a curriculum for over a year. We usually do day 1 and day 4, adding in the devotiona...

Re: Thinking About Putting Lance in Little Hearts

I imagine the tough part is scheduling, and I agree with you and Angie that he probably would be better off to go into LHFHG. As far as History, Bible, and Science, not knowing what he's been exposed to, I can't comment there. However, it could go more smoothly for you. And I think, if you needed th...

Julie, I just love your posts; they're so meaty! Thanks for all the pictures and comments! Kristin, it looks like your darlings are having fun! :) Homeschooling6, love your posts. Your kids are precious, and they seem to work together well. I'm off to read your post about Lance in LHFHG. We are maki...

Re: Weekly Review - Feb 10-16

Here's our update. We have also managed to start LHTH with John, and are on Unit 2, about Noah building the ark. We are doing a LHTH playdate once a week with our friend Joshua, but I don't have any pictures. One thing at a time. :) I got my blog done, check check! Yea! Have a wonderful weekend, eve...
