Re: RTR questions
Thanks, everyone. I appreciate everyone sharing their experiences. We will manage to get through. My son's interests in knights and castles starts and stops with the Chronicles of Narnia. My approach with him is going to be that this is good practice for the rest of his life. There are going to be t...

RTR questions
Hello Ladies. I have not posted in quite some time. We are gearing up for our new school year. I ordered my books last week and just opened the box today. And panicked. I am planning RTR for my oldest son who will be 12 in a few weeks. This will be for 7th grade. We do our own math and science, and ...

6th grader with CTC & 2nd and 4th graders Bigeer
We've been using HOD for the last 4 years with my kids. Each year we have used it in different ways that bless our family. I have been praying and praying about next year and I *think* I am on to a plan for our family. Has anyone used CTC for 6th grade? I know the recommended age is 4th-5th. But for...

PHFHG for 3rd grader
Can anyone pipe in on how their 3rd grader did with the Independent History Study? I considered not having him do it, just having my 5th grade son do it. How about research? I could have them work together, but I don't want my 3rd grader to just let my 5th grader do it for him. :P I will have the ri...

Does any one have any photos of their PHFTG timelines
I don't want to do the back-of-the-door timeline. Our house just can't handle it.
I'd like to see a picture of the flip book kind if anyone has one they can share!
Many thanks!
Stacy

Re: Bumping son up to Beyond, skipping Little Hearts...questions
Good grief - I just started to reply and read the author. I'll email you my friend! C. could totally do Beyond. Wish you were still around the corner! For the benefit of other readers, I will say regardless of the grade level you are reporting for, I watched both my boys use Beyond as seven year ol...

Re: Timeline in Beyond?
our Beyond timelines were on cardstock, with enough columns and rows as the guide suggested. There were some colums that has less entries than others, but each rectangle left enough room for a small drawing. I will see if I can dig out an old one and scan it.

Re: How long of a break do you take post-newborn? :)
I think it depends on the family. As another poster said, with your eldest 4.5, I'd be comfortable just easing into things naturally, adding one thing at a time as your new family finds it's rhythm. :) Enjoy watching your kids interact, knowing that if your oldest was doing public school she'd be mi...
