Re: Watercolor markers?

so what are they? Do you draw with them and then use a wet paint brush over them? I am curious. I did that guide but don't remember those. I know I didn't use them, hubby isn't a thrilled on the arts and it's hard to get him to spend money on more than just crayons and colored pencils.

Moving-what to to take (OT)

Okay so we finished up the units I was working on with my daugher and son and it's all ready for packing up. I will have at least 6 weeks without the books. I will only get our book only if we are in a house. It can be up to four months until we get a house or we could get one right away. It's the j...

Re: Week in Review 02-01-10 to 02-05-10

The week before was awsome and this week was a little stressful. I took out some extra work that I used along with the guides and our days have gone much better. My girls enjoy the guides while my son isn't a huge fan of Little Hearts. He does enjoy listening about Reddy Fox and reading his Family T...

I am sticking to just the guides with no extras and our days are done byt 1PM. It's awsome. We had a wonderful week though Friday seemed to be bit ...

I'll be using this program next and I don't plan to get a handwriting program. My book is packed up right now but I use the Awana verses for handwriting and my son is using 100 EZ Lessons and ETC and there is handwriting in there as well.

Re: Bigger...what were your favorite

All of the science was my DD's favorite part of Bigger. With the One Square Books we always do the shoe box thing. She's in Preparing and while it doesn't suggest doing it with Desert we are making it.

Re: Math question....rounding help!

Maybe just take a break over that part of math and come back to it later? I had to do that with my oldest with some parts of math. I was just stopping everything but I always end up not being done with her math book until mid summer. Now I just add extra practice to the parts she needs help or take ...

Re: Question about Explode the Code

My son, turns 6 this month, is using the Before Expode the Code A,B &C. He had already been thru Little Hands and knew the sounds so these are a good review for sounds. It's also easy for him to do on his own while I work with his sister. :) It's the same routine for each letter/sound. I have Explod...

Re: Hitting a wall with poetry and being more creative

The poisonous hungry rattlesnake was going across the flowing sand dunes looking for tiny fat mice to eat during the cool night.
This is the end product.

Her daddy had a talkin to her and she is going to work on it some more tomorrow. She went on a whole shabang about not liking it and not wanting to do it. He told her that out in school and real life you will have to write and stuff. So I'll see how tomorrow goes.
