Re: When is everyone starting school?

Our school year ends in the middle of November, so we are schooling through the summer. Although we will take 3 weeks off to go to CA for my sister's wedding.

Our new homeschool year won't start until January.

Re: Skipping Rev to Rev to be on track for High School Guide

Skipping the Rev to Rev guide was a hard decision for both me and my daughter as well. We were drooling over all the books  but in the end we decided that MTMM was what we wanted her to study before going into high school. Thankfully this summer she'll be able to read some of them for fun a...

Re: Skipping Rev to Rev to be on track for High School Guide

And I forgot to add that she completed DITHOR the first month of her 8th grade year so she is no longer using that either. She started the oldest DITHOR level in 7th grade. I didn't see any reason to have her do it over. I figured she has enough reading already  (which she loves)

Re: Skipping Rev to Rev to be on track for High School Guide

Hi, Miranda, I just wanted to pipe in and mention that my 8th grade daughter (she turned 14 back in Sept. so she might be on the older side) skipped Rev to Rev. Last year for 7th grade she completed Res. to Ref. and because I wanted her to be on track for high school without supplementing or beefing...

Re: Why and How Long?

We've been using HOD for 3 years. My two middle boys used Preparing and CtC so far. My daughter has used it for two years. She is currently finishing up MtMM and is looking forward to the high school guide: World Geography. My eldest son is using HOD for the first time (World Geography) and is lovin...

Re: Sneak Peek #3: New World History Guide

I'm excited about this. I purchased the Pilgrims Progress AIO curriculum years ago but never used it because I never had time to fit it in. I don't even know if I still own this or not  but it's amazing how God has put this in our path. I love it. This same thing happened this year with the hi...

Carrie, thank you for taking the time to write and share!!! I so appreciate you helping me figure this out. I'm going to print all that you said out and save it. THANK YOU!!! Re: Beefing Up Rev. to Rev. for High School (11th grade)

Tidbits, thank you for your reply. I should have used the younger guides in the first place but my excitement with the new guide and all  and for some reason I was thinking (or not thinking) that the BJ geography was covering world history (knocking my head against the wall). But it has been a...

Re: Beefing Up Rev. to Rev. for High School (11th grade)

I would think that you would need him to have both World History and American History prior to graduating. So, I am thinking that he'd need the next two guides that we are coming out with in order to complete his studies in the area of history anyway. If he is doing well with the World Geography Gu...
