Re: Week in review 9th January
We are in Unit 6 of BLH. I was so excited to read more on the Pilgrim's in Holland. I lived there for 5 years and today I called my friend whose children are also doing Beyond Little Hearts to tell them that I first lived in Amsterdam and than in Leiden to go through PT school. Anyway, we took out a...

Re: How do I fix this???
Hello Joyful Heart, My heart goes out to you as you find yourself struggling with your sons schooling. The Lord knows your son and has picked him out to be under your care, because He knew that He could grow both of you to become closer to Him if you were together and following His principals. I do ...

Finished LHFHG
We completed LHFHG in September 2008 and we had a blast learning this year. I enjoyed the history lessons beginning with Creation and I loved "History for Little Pilgrims" and being that I am from a foreign land it was great to read how "The Star Spangled Banner" came about. It gave me chills! We ha...

weekly planners
Hello, We are gearing up for BLH and LHTH in November. We are taking a little break and just doing some phonics, math and bible. We finished LHFHG last month. My question to any of you is if you use a weekly planner and if you do could you share it with me. I like the individual sheets instead of a ...

Thank you so much for your great input. I think I will get them and I will be on the look out for the other series that is out of print.

Re: Help: I think I've chosen the wrong level!
How exciting of a challenge this must be. What I have done with my son already knows a lot of the scriptures, because we have had the CD since he was 3, is to memorize extra verses. You could have her memorize a couple of verses or whole chapters. How great is this for you daughter to be so eager to...

Good books for your kids
Hello, I wanted to know if any of you ladies have read or are familiar with the "Boxcar Children" Early Readers Set. I found them for a great price and want to know if they are wholesome books, teaching good biblical/moral value. My son is soon becoming an emergent reader and he loves adventure and ...

Re: Enjoying R&S English
Good to read this! I always hear how dry R&S stuff is, but the kids seem to enjoy it. I am starting BLHFHG in the fall so I won't be there till next year. My son will just almost be 7 so I was hoping it would not be too difficult at that time, but I guess I can slow it down as need be.

Hi Lizzie, This is great. I am planning way ahead, but am interested to hear in a few months how you have incorporated BF Early Am History into BHFHG. I have that as well and am trying to fit it in one of these years. Carrie does such a great job incorporating everything, but sometimes when we have ...

Re: Any "bad" experiences with Math U See?
Hello, I have recently switched from Singapore to Math-U-See. My son is finishing 'Primer". He had to get used to it, but he is just doing great at it and has slowly fallen in love with it. One of my main reasons for switching to Math-U-See is, because it is the most friendly Math-Phobic-Mom program...

Re: Bilingual learning
I speak Dutch and have been doing my best to speak both languages to the kids. It is strictly conversational, because I know the language. My older and younger one understand the most. My middle one did not hear too much Dutch as a baby. I would love for them to learn Spanish when they are older, be...

Re: Need help with whether to start LHTH this year!
Both boards are being such a blessing to me. I glean from the wisdom of Carrie with curriculum and adjustments to scheduling and making it fit your family and not be so rigid that you don't have room to move and I glean from MOTH with scheduling which I am not done with the schedule yet. So see you ...

Re: Need help with whether to start LHTH this year!
Thank you ladies for the encouragement. I just wanted to make sure that I was not pushing him too much or holding him back. 3x's week is a great idea and he will be so proud to do school! He loves to join in on the reading for his brother as well so I will include him some of those activities as the...

Re: Need help with whether to start LHTH this year!
We incorporate our Rhyme in Motion in our "Praising Jesus Time" and I will continue to do so especially since Beyond does not have that anymore and my older one is on the young spectrum and will continue to benefit from that as well.
Great idea!!!!!!!!
