How many days in HFHTT?

I don't know if this question has already been asked, but I was curious to know if HFHTT is written for 4 or 5 days a week like PHFHG?

Re: Just an intro and a ?

Hello, Welcome to the board. I have used MUS with Carrie's programs, but have now realized that her Math Explorations are so good and such good applications to real life and higher level math thinking. You can even combine and just do them with your child as a supplement. I did not understand whom y...

Re: The good news: Three programs seems to definitely be doable

What an incredible day you had. Such encouragement! I love it when the Lord shows you that you can do all things through Him and some!
I am excited for you and the kids that all went so well.

Re: Grammar

Thank you ladies! I will take a look at the teacher manual for R&S. If it works orally than that would be the way to go for us in the beginning. I thought there was much writing required. I get so much encouragement on using the things Carrie recommends for curriculum. I am so glad that you ladies a...

Re: Waiting on recommending Teaching Textbooks...

Thank you Carrie, I am spending time with the Lord on this subject especially since I have more children coming. What I gather from your writings is that Singapore can be done by all children, even if you may have to slow down a little at one point to make sure they understand. I love the fact that ...

Re: Grammar

Thank you for your input. I may even wait a year since he will only be 7 and allow him to mature a bit before jumping into full force grammar and he may just do fine.

Grammar

Any thoughts on Winston Grammar to use for a child that does not like writing and who is not very auditory.
We are using Abeka Grammar this year, but next year the R&S might be too much writing for him and maybe too dry for his learning style.

Re: Waiting on recommending Teaching Textbooks...

I am so glad to have your wisdom. I will get more confident with the Lord's help in my ability to teach math. I am thinking too far ahead, my ds is only in Kindergarten, but he is doing just fine doing 1A right now and is almost done with MUS Alpha. I will finish Alpha, but will rethink what to do n...

Re: Cheerful Cursive

Thank you so much. This helped and I can get an idea on what it looks like. I like it and I think that will be my choice for cursive.
Thanks for the recommendation Carrie!!!

Re: Cheerful Cursive

Just checking if anyone has come up with or has any samples of the Cheerful cursive handwriting they could have me take a look at?
I tried the websites in this post, but with no success.
Thank you.

Re: Math U See vs Singapore

I guess this question is for you Julie, since you are familiar with all the guides. Does Carrie do math extensions in Preparing Hearts for Singapore? I am still trying to figure out whether to keep MUS on the back burner, my son does not mind doing both at this time so it's just extra reinforcement....

Bible Memory

This past week was such a blessing for me! I was doing the Bible Memory vs on day 1 making up motions with ds of 6 and ds of 3 was watching us not wanting to participate. The next day the 3 of us sat on the couch and I started the motion and drew a blank. I just asked ds of 6 to go look on the wall ...

Re: Waiting on recommending Teaching Textbooks...

I am very glad to have read and be informed on TT, since I was under the impression to switch to that in later years. I currently use MUS Alpha and I have been doing your Math Explorations as well without the workbook. I recently decided to get the Singapore 1A and 1B and do the pages as well. My so...

Re: Notebooks for Beyond?

We are doing BLHFHG and even last year in doing LHFGH we used one of the "Miller" books with lines and a blank page on top (Story picture book) for our art work to keep it all together adapting some of the art suggestion to be able to keep it in a book. We had the children copy a sentence below some...

Emergent Reader Book Level

I am not from this country and am trying to figure out how your reading level works. At least I want to know if any of you can help me and point me in the right way to get books of the same reading level as Carrie has used for the Emergent reader schedule. I am looking at getting some different book...
