Today was our first day!!! We all enjoyed ourselves. Our special day was planned as follows: 1. Going to Panera for breakfast. 2. Taking photos with these back to school signs. 3. Talk about why we love homeschooling. 4. Do a first day of school booklet . Probably take us more than one day for sure...

Part of post removed by board moderator per board rules. For LHFHG there were a few times that tempera paint was called for and I used acrylic with no problem.

My 2yo frequently "participates" in the others' school lessons. When my DD(6.5) was listening to her song for her memory verse, my toddler started to sing along.

We are year round schoolers and we are wrapping up our year and finishing out LHFHG right now. :) My DD made the stick horse when learning about Robert E. Lee and she has been galloping around on it for DAYS! :) Whenever I ask her to do something, she "rides" Traveler around to do it. http://i1165.p...

My 2 year old will play on kneebouncers.com forEVER if I let her. It's $5 for full access or they rotate out the free games every week or something like that. It's fun, educational and all you need to be able to do to play most of the games is be able to push any key on the keyboard.

LHFHG is a really good preparation for Beyond...could you do Beyond half speed with your dd, allowing your ds time to catch up by doing LHFHG and into Beyond full speed until they are together?
