I have seen advertising for HOD in Old Schoolhouse Magazine and read about HOD in Cathy Duffy's book, but don't know many users of HOD.
Most people I know use Tapestry of Grace or My Father's World.
HOD is certainly an amazing curriculum and I am so glad to have found it!!

Thanks everyone. I think we will go ahead and do the 3 programs. DS2 has gone through the Letter of the Week program this past year and previous year, so I think we will begin him on LHFHG next year. DS1 is such an independent learner already, I know I won't have trouble doing 3 programs!! Thanks fo...

If they both completed LHFHG successfully, they should both be ready for the next one, Beyond. You might perhaps have to adjust the language and math for your younger? I don't know where your younger child's skills are, though. My younger one hasn't started LHFHG, just older DS. I was actually conc...

What to do: Use LHFHG next year also or move forward?
My DS is in K this year and we have been using LHFHG since November. Would you move forward to BLHFHG or do LHFHG again. I will also have another DS in K next year so I will have a 1st grader and a K student. My DS in K is very advanced for his age and stage and has really enjoyed the LHFHG and I kn...

A way to help prevent wear and tear
I am very excited about getting started with LHFHG which we just got this week. We are starting on Monday. Tomorrow I am going to take some time and wrap the books, teachers manual and anything that is non comsumable in clear contact paper. This will protect the books from wear and tear and spillage...

Can we link back to Heart of Dakota?
Is there a code or something that we can put on our blogs or websites that would link back to Heart of Dakota website? I'm not talking about one of those "Get Paid to Advertise" codes, but something similar. I want to link back to here from my blog just to show others the great curriculum in hopes t...

Just ordered LHFHG today!!!
Hello! My name is Kendra Neal from Chicagoland. I just ordered the LHFHG today and I can't wait to get it in the mail and get started. We just began our homeschool journey this year as our oldest is in K. Things have been going very, and he is an eager learner. He has breezed through the K Math and ...
