Teacher's Book for WG BJU Literature?

Hi everyone,
I am ordering some pieces for WG on a very tight budget. Do I really need the teacher's manual (comes with CD?) for BJU Fundamentals of Literature? Thank you!

Hi Mary Both.
Thanks so much for your reply. That is very helpful! Good to know there are many more roads leading to college these days and the transition from HOD to college is easy :) Nicole

Level 4 or 5 R&S English?

Hello! Can someone please help me place my (will be) 11yo for Creation to Christ? I need to know if level 4 or 5 would be best for her for English. She is a very strong reader and writer but hasn't had much formal grammar exposure. She writes a brilliant sentence and paragraph but can't really tell ...

New Apologia Astronomy

Hi - can anyone tell me if you can use the new edition (2nd edition) of the astronomy book for Res to Ref? Or does it need to be the older version? Thanks!

Re: Help with Dyslexic Placement

Thank you countrymom! That is very helpful advice. I will really look at placing her at the level that she will be most comfortable with rather than where I think she should be!

Help with Dyslexic Placement

Hello, I have an 8 year old daughter that is very dyslexic. She can read CVC words and a few sight words, but struggles with 'silent e' words and vowel combinations. She struggles to write a very short sentence. However she is a bright child that has good auditory understanding of stories and subjec...

Missionary Mums & Getting into College

Hi lovely ladies (and I guess occasional men) :) I haven't been on this board for a very long time! It's nice to be back. We have three girls (13, 10 and 8 ) and are in Western Australia. We have a possible move to Vanuatu to do mission work next year (it's all just 'possible' at the moment - just g...

DITHOR books - history books or a different set?

Hello,
I am a little confused. Do we choose a book set to go along with DITHOR when we get to the older grades (I am looking at RTR atm) or do we use the history books, or even the history extension set as the books to go along with DITHOR?
Thanks!

Re: Rod and Staff English placement help - please :)

Thankyou, LynnH! That is really helpful. I think I will look at the samples again, and so will hopefully be able to see where she would place. I do think that Gr 4 might suit her more than Gr 5. We are in Australia, and we don't do nearly the same amount of grammar here as Americans do, so being at ...

Re: Rod and Staff English placement help - please :)

Also… is the R&S English book *only* used for grammar? And if so, could another grammar book or course be switched for R&S? Or are there other assignments other than grammar that are scheduled from the R&S?

Rod and Staff English placement help - please :)

Hello everyone :) We are looking at coming back to HOD (I'm excited!) and I am wondering how to place my 7th grader for Res to Ref for English? She is a good writer, and generally has a decent grasp of grammar/punctuation in her writing, but will have not much of an idea what a verb/adverb/conjuncti...
