Re: A neat book to add to Beyond...
I just wanted to update and let you know that I ordered the book: Children of the Handcrafts by Carolyn Sherwin Bailey through abebooks.com and it arrived in perfect condition. I am seriously not exagerating. It is amazing. I have not always had that kind of "luck". This is one from 1962 even though...

Re: Question for Carrie or Julie about Convention schedule..
Amey! I went to Arlington last year for the first time. I usually go to The Woodlands. It was total divine intervention and God's prompting that led me to go to Arlington, because I would not be using HOD if I had not. The speakers and workshops were phenomenal. I learned so much ..... I hope to go ...

HolyHart ! Thank you for the link to the other post. I read the entire thread and posted my own reply. So many great names!
Georgette, "Trail Blazer" is fantastic. What a great name for an all boy school, too. Thanks for the picture.
Have a great week.

Re: ot can anyone give me some examples of your school name?
What a great post ! Some one in another post , "holyhart", on 11/3/2008 , titled: RE: Weekly Check-in 10/23/2008 , sent me the link to this thread and I am so glad, because it was so fun to read. I thought of a name a while back and I did not know other people did it, too, so that makes me feel so ...

Kathleen ! I did it, I did it, Yea ! I did not think photobucket was that intuitive or the most user friendly. The screens felt too busy, but some how after enough "wandering" around, I figured out the very basics. Is there a tutorial on photobucket? :?: There were so many choices, but it all looks...

Re: HOD addiction ?
Dear fellow HODies, I received my login eight days ago and I cannot go to bed at night without looking at all the new posts for the day. :o Has anyone else experienced this? Am I experiencing some sort of HODie addiction? If so, what did you do about it? Is there a support group or should I...

Re: Question for Carrie About Ordering HOD Resources "Elsewhere"
An idea for supporting HOD. There is a Yahoo Group called "AHomeschoolReview". I have recently joined that in order to promote HOD and to give info to those who ask. Maybe some of you could join also. It is a great place to ask questions, and it gives a welcome forum for educating others about the ...

Re: something's not clicking :-(
Hi Jennifer, My heart is heavy for you right now, because I really feel for what you are going through. As moms we want so much to what is right for each child. I was thinking that maybe you might need a confidence booster, too ! You might consider reading a book or two on homeschooling in general. ...

2.I'm looking ahead a little bit here. After finishing BLHFHG and going on to the next level that covers some of the same time period in American history, does it feel redundant or is it taught in a different way? I hope that makes sense. I am just concerned about covering the same time period agai...

Re: Science Opinions Please?
Hi Florence, One of the things I like about the science is how it ties so well into the Bible Story and/or Bible Reading and the History. It has the Biblical Worldview weaved in that means so much to me that I was not sure could be accomplished at such a young age, but HOD has figured out how to do ...

Mom2Monkeys,
I totally loved your blogspot pictures. I saw that you thought of a name for your school. That made me feel good, because we call ours "Cross Creek." I don't have too many friends that have done that, but I have been encouraging it.
Send more updates when you can.

Little Hearts for His Glory - LHFHG - Unit 6, Day 1 : From the " Science Discovery " in the bottom left corner of the left page. [This is the first time for me to post pictures so I hope it works!] This activity was so fun. Michael loved the idea that he could eat DIRT ! BOYS !!! This was a lesson ...
